Archery Academy
The Archery Academy is launching for the first time ever at Katameya Petrosport Club, offering a unique opportunity to learn the art and fundamentals of archery, no matter your age or physical condition. Whether you’re young or old, male or female, the academy provides an inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy and master this timeless sport.
The beauty of archery lies in its accessibility—there are no special requirements. Anyone can participate, making it a perfect sport for all ages and genders. The academy focuses on teaching the essential skills of archery in a refined and sophisticated manner, tailored to the individual’s needs. Through training, participants will develop key skills like focus, body control, precision, and the harmony between archer and bow, all of which are crucial for achieving success in the sport, even at a professional level.
Training is conducted under the guidance of highly qualified and certified coaches, all recognized by the Egyptian Archery Federation. What makes this academy truly special is its inclusivity—it also offers training for people with physical disabilities and the visually impaired, ensuring that everyone can engage with the sport in a meaningful way.
Training Schedule:
Saturday and Thursday
From 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM
The academy offers a flexible training schedule, making it easy for participants of all ages and skill levels to join and learn. This flexibility allows everyone to enjoy the sport and improve their skills at their own pace, making archery accessible and convenient for all.
Coaches:
The academy is led by an esteemed team of coaches:
Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Malegi: Egypt’s national archery champion, coach for the Egyptian men’s blind archery team, and a leading coach at both Petrosport Club and the Republican Guard.
Major General Ashraf Khalifa Mohamed: International lecturer and coach, technical director of Egypt’s national blind archery team, and head coach for the Republican Guard, Egyptian Police Federation, and Petrosport Club. He is also a former archery champion and a leading figure in archery coaching in Egypt.
Dr. Gihan Magdy Abou Zaid: Egypt’s archery champion, coach for the Egyptian national women’s blind archery team, and a prominent figure in the Egyptian Police Federation and Petrosport Club.
